It's no secret that the intertwined growth of Kubernetes and edge computing is putting new stress on edge networks' ability to scale at need and be managed proactively. Just addressing these issues is hard enough--yet platform and cloud providers also need to be able to innovate without introducing new risk. eBPF can be used by infrastructure, or applications to run new programs in Linux kernel space, securely and without disruption. In this talk we will discuss how we intend to: - Allow coexistence of infrastructure and application eBPF - How to leverage the latest innovations with eBPF, AF_XDP and Cloud Native Data Plane (CNDP) to enable high performance applications. - Use eBPF to provide a reduced network footprint at the far edge
